The annual meeting of surgeons in Switzerland is organized by the Swiss College of Surgeons in collaboration with its seven base organizations. The congress consists of one course day and two congress days.

Certificate of competence in radiation protection

The performance of diagnostic and therapeutic X-ray examinations requires appropriate training by law. With the "Certificate of competence in radiation protection in surgery (SGC)" doctors can document that they have in-depth knowledge in this field.

Recommended and recognized courses

Recognized courses

Congresses, courses and seminars abroad are recognized for continuing medical education in Switzerland, provided they are recognized as equivalent by the SGC executive board. The existence of a detailed program of the event is essential for recognition. The list of recognized congresses is not exhaustive and is constantly re-evaluated.

The SGC generally recognizes:

All European continuing education courses that have been accredited by the European Accreditation Council (EACCME) (1 hour = 1 credit).
